Session Rates

I believe in transparent pricing. These rates apply to all session types, whether individual, couples, or family. I bill by the session, not by the number of people in the room.

45-minute standard session: $200

90-minute extended session: $400

All sessions are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video. Payment is due at the time of the session.

Why I Do Not Accept Insurance

Gate Healing is an out-of-network practice. I do not bill insurance companies directly, and I do not accept EAP benefits.

This is a deliberate choice, and it is worth explaining. When a therapist accepts insurance, the insurance company gets to decide how many sessions you receive, what diagnosis goes into your permanent medical record, and sometimes what treatment approaches are approved. I did not build a private practice to have those decisions made by someone who has never met you.

By staying out-of-network, I maintain full control over your treatment plan. There is no diagnosis requirement for you to receive care, no session limits imposed by a third party, and no one reviewing your records other than me. Your personal information stays between us, as it should.

Out-of-Network Reimbursement

If you have out-of-network mental health benefits through your insurance plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. I will provide you with a superbill after each session, which is a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company.

Reimbursement amounts vary by plan. I recommend calling your insurance company before your first session and asking these questions:

1. Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
2. What is my out-of-network deductible, and have I met it?
3. What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed?
4. Is there a limit on the number of sessions covered per year?

If your insurance company has listed me as an in-network provider, that is an error. Please let me know so I can contact them to correct it.

Cancellation Policy

I keep my caseload intentional so that every client gets my full attention. That means each appointment slot is reserved specifically for you.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will be charged the full session fee. There are no exceptions to this policy.

If something comes up on short notice, we can switch to a phone session rather than canceling entirely. The goal is to keep your momentum going, even on difficult days.
